The DJI Mini 4K is an entry-level camera drone designed to make high-quality aerial photography and videography accessible to beginners and budget-conscious creators. At its core, the drone features a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor paired with a 3-axis mechanical gimbal, allowing it to capture smooth 4K video at up to 30 frames per second and 12MP photos. A key feature is its lightweight design; weighing less than 249 grams, it falls into the safest drone category, which exempts it from registration requirements in many countries and regions. The drone also supports True Vertical Shooting, making it easy to create content optimized for social media platforms.
For flight performance and ease of use, the DJI Mini 4K offers a generous maximum flight time of up to 31 minutes on a single battery. It is equipped with DJI's reliable OcuSync 2.0 video transmission system, providing a stable HD video feed from up to 10 km away. To assist new pilots, the drone includes GPS for stable hovering and a robust Return to Home (RTH) function for added safety. It also features a suite of pre-programmed flight maneuvers known as QuickShots (including Dronie, Helix, Rocket, Circle, and Boomerang) that allow users to capture cinematic video clips with a single tap.
